Below you can find multiple instructions on how to reach us depending on your mode of transportation:

By Car
  • If you are arriving by car from Italy, after the Kozina border crossing, continue to Rijeka, then proceed to the highway road A1 to Split, take the Zadar Exit 1, follow the sign to Zadar and then to the island Vir (Vir, Nin, Zaton).
  • From Slovenia, more precisely, from Ljubljana, drive through Postojna, and after you cross the Rupa border continue to Rijeka, take the highway road A1 to Split, then Zadar Exit 1, follow the sign to Zadar and then to the island Vir (Vir, Nin, Zaton).
  • From the direction of Hungary, drive to Zagreb, from where you proceed by taking the A1 highway to Split, then take the exit Zadar 1, follow the sign to Zadar and then to the island Vir (Vir, Nin, Zaton).

By Airplane
  • Should you decide on a quicker and more comfortable way of travel, they can land at Zadar’s airport in Zemunik which is only 35km from Vir, a small but modern airport which is connected with other Croatian cities and a large number of European airports, especially during the summer season.
  • If you are coming from more distant places, which are not directly connected with Zadar airport, you should travel via Zagreb airport, which is part of the international air-traffic network, and thus linked with all European and world airports.
  • Low-cost airlines such as Ryanair, Eurowings, Vueling, EasyJet, Jet2 or WizzAir enable favorable travel. From the airport, the visitor can travel to island Vir by taxi, via Zadar by bus, or we can arrange a pick-up/drop off.

By Bus
  • Because of the proximity of the regional centre of Zadar which is connected with all bigger Western European towns (Ljubljana, Trieste, Vienna, Zurich, Munich, Rotterdam etc.) and excellent inter-city connection all bus lines will be suitable for visitors travelling to island Vir.

  • Island Vir is very well connected with Zadar and the bus service runs every hour.

By Boat
  • The quay and the port are in Zadar. The port of Zadar is connected to larger towns along the Adriatic coast by ships, hydrofoils, catamarans and ferry boats.
  • The inter-city ferry boat connections are the following: Zadar-Rijeka, Zadar-Dubrovnik and the international ferry boat line is Zadar-Ancona.
  • After disembarking in Zadar, local bus, car or taxi will take the guests to the island of Vir.
